Beginner Nosework Discover the fun of Nosework and watch your dog do what comes naturally! Nosework is a rewarding activity that encourages dogs to use their incredible sense of smell to search, solve problems, and build confidence. As dogs learn to search, they also develop focus, independence, and a stronger connection with their handlers—all while having fun. In this class, dogs will be introduced to target odors while learning the foundations of Nosework in a fun, positive, and supportive environment. Benefits of Nosework Nosework is more than just teaching dogs to find odor. It can help dogs: • Build confidence • Improve focus and concentration • Burn mental energy in a healthy, rewarding way • Strengthen problem-solving skills • Encourage independent thinking • Deepen the bond between dog and handler • Provide enrichment for dogs of all ages and energy levels • Give shy or timid dogs an opportunity to gain confidence • Offer a low-impact activity that is ideal for senior dogs and dogs with physical limitations This class is designed for dogs of all ages, breeds, and energy levels, including puppies, senior dogs, shy dogs, reactive dogs, and busy dogs who need a positive outlet for their energy. No previous training or experience is necessary. Each dog works individually in a calm, supportive environment, allowing every team to learn and progress at their own pace. Dogs will be crated while waiting for their turn. This helps provide each dog with their own personal space and allows for a calm, focused learning environment.
